At the end of 2018, Finland had a total of 698 wind turbines with a total capacity of 2041 MW. In 2018, 5.8 TWh of electricity was generated by wind power, which covered 6.7 per cent of Finland's electricity consumption.

Several wind power investments have been published in Finland and construction is already underway. Some of the projects are being built without subsidies, some of them won the tender for renewable energy. These projects can be found listed in this Excel (20.9.2019).
